Two Fishes. What's in a name?
What are the two fishes?
The symbol of two fishes has appeared in various forms throughout history and has come to represent acquired wisdom. In the West it is probably best recognised in the form of the ancient Chinese symbol Taijitu depicting Yin and Yang where two fishes are shown chasing each other's tail.
The Two Fishes do not represent opposites forever pulling in different directions. Two Fishes represent the play of differing forces that merge to form a complete and integrated whole. They are not opposite nor are they in conflict with each other but complement each other and merge to created a single dynamic entity.
