Two Fishes Coaching
Action for positive change
What is coaching?
Coaching is a process that assesses where you are now in your life and where you want to be in the future. It enables you to connect the two places via a realistic, sustainable plan that you have created yourself with the help of your coach. You will follow your own simple, practical day-to-day steps that build your confidence and self-belief whilst creating the necessary changes for the better.
What do coaches do? They are trained to listen, to ask questions and to listen some more. They then work with you to draw out answers, solutions and strategies that exist within you and help you to build your own step-by-step action plan that will motivate and empower you to achieve your desired goals. Coaches do not analyse past issues or try to explain the present situation from past experiences. They are not therapists. Coaches facilitate you in finding your own answers, setting your own goals and sticking to your own plans.
Goals and ambitions apply to all of us in all areas of life. They may be to do with big life-changing actions or the management of small daily routine tasks that can improve your sense of wellbeing. Goals may be to do with having the confidence and skills to communicate effectively with those who are working with you on your health management. They may be to do with life direction. Small steps for some will appear as giant leaps to others, however everybody can benefit in whichever areas of life chosen.
Your relationship with the coach is the key. It is a partnership based on trust, respect, honesty and total confidentiality. Coaching based on holistic principles encourages actions that enable the growth and development of the whole person in body, mind and spirit. Each person has differing needs, abilities and life circumstances; but everybody has potential. This is the basis of a powerful coaching relationship.
